National Transfer Student Week
Oct. 20 - 24, 2025
#TransferStudentWeek
National Transfer Student Week celebrates transfer students and the faculty and staff who support them on their educational journeys.
Our transfer students bring diverse life experiences, academic backgrounds, and personal strengths that enrich Blazer Nation. We know how hard it is to navigate unique challenges as you move between institutions and work toward your educational goals. Here at Ï㽶ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø, we want our transfer students to feel seen, supported, and celebrated! This week we will be telling their stories and celebrating their achievements. Keep an eye out for campus events!

“I really liked how small the classes were here; I got a lot of one-on-ones with my professors. They knew my name personally, it's different then going to a bigger school where the professors don’t really know your name and you're just a number. Here you do get that one-on-one experience, and they are very easy to get into contact with. So that's one thing I really really liked about Ï㽶ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø.â€

“The biggest thing that got me out of my shell would be joining organizations: SGA, Tri-Beta, Honors College. Just joining orgs on campus and taking those opportunities that Ï㽶ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø has, just really brought me out of my shell. I surprise myself with the potential I had. I didn’t know I had so much potential with being involved on campusâ€

“When I transferred here, I was a little unsure. But going into ADPi, I knew that I would have immediate friends, because everybody here was so welcoming. It was nerve wracking at first, but when I got here it was just so easy to make friends! Go with your gut, I promise you whatever your feeling, if you're at a different school currently and you're like 'this is not right for me, I need to make a change’ do it. Being here in Valdosta has opened so many opportunities for me."
