Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ¹ÙÍø Honors Canine Companions with Bark for Life
VALDOSTA — Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ¹ÙÍø invites all dogs and their owners to Bark for Life, an American Cancer Society Relay for Life event, at 10 a.m. on Sunday, April 9, at the Student Union.Bark for Life honors the lifelong contributions of canine caregivers and helps raise funds for the American Cancer Society. Canine caregivers provide companionship and support to cancer patients. Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ¹ÙÍø to register for Bark for Life. Registration is $10 for each animal and includes a treat bag.
This year, 38 teams comprised of Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ¹ÙÍø faculty, staff, and students from departments and organizations across campus are raising funds for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. As of the morning of Friday, March 31, Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ¹ÙÍø had raised $6,816.35, or 27.3 percent, of its $25,000 goal.
Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ¹ÙÍø raised $23,050.11 during its 2016 event.
The American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life movement raises more than $400 million every year for groundbreaking research in every type of cancer and free information and services for cancer patients and their caregivers. Relay for Life of Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ¹ÙÍø will take place on Friday, April 21.
Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ¹ÙÍø to support the Relay for Life of Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ¹ÙÍø by making a donation to a participant, a team, or the effort in general.
