Dine and Discover Navigates Moods and Foods
VALDOSTA — Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ¹ÙÍø Campus Wellness will present Dine and Discover: The Mood-Food Connection from noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 22, in Student Union Meeting Room 1A and B. All faculty, staff, and students are welcome to attend.Patty White-Cosey, a licensed professional counselor, will discuss how stress and emotions can trigger overeating and food cravings. She will teach participants alternative ways to cope with their feelings. White-Cosey is the co-owner of Therapy Center Valdosta and specializes in the treatment of children, child custody evaluations, marriage and family issues, mood disorders, and borderline personality disorders.
Dine and Discover is a monthly educational series sponsored by South Georgia Medical Center. Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ¹ÙÍø Campus Wellness works alongside SGMC to promote and encourage an increased awareness and practice of a healthy lifestyle.
Admission is free of charge, and a healthy lunch will be provided to those who register. Enrollment is limited to 40 participants. Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ¹ÙÍø to register.
