Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ¹ÙÍø Discusses Pipeline Controversy Sept. 28

VALDOSTA — Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ¹ÙÍø’s Philosophy and Religious Studies Club will present “The Pipeline Controversy” at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 28, in the University Center Cypress Room.

Faculty, staff, students, retirees, alumni, and friends of the university are welcome to attend.

A panel of experts — Dr. Lavonna Lovern from the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies at Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ¹ÙÍø; Dr. Fred Knowles from the Department of Sociology, Anthropology, and Criminal Justice at Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ¹ÙÍø; and Merrillee Malwitz-Jipson of the Sierra Club’s Florida chapter — will discuss the pipeline situation in North Dakota, South Georgia, and Florida.

This free event is presented in collaboration with Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ¹ÙÍø’s Four Directions and Students Against Violating the Environment (S.A.V.E.).
