Annual Pops in the Park Fundraiser

VALDOSTA -- The annual 'Pops in the Park' jazz celebration
fundraiser will be held on Thursday, Oct. 6 from 6-9 p.m. in the
Amphitheater directly behind the Fine Arts Building. The Ï㽶ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø Music
Scholarship Alliance will host the event to raise money to benefit
Ï㽶ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø music students.
Some of the performers will include the Steel Drum Band, the Ï㽶ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø
Jazz Ensemble, the New Jazz Ensemble, the Faculty Jazz Combo and
the Spotlighters Vocal Jazz Ensemble. Saxophonist Rob Chapman of
Jacksonville, Fl., and local vocalist Tania Myers, both Ï㽶ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø alums,
are the scheduled guests performers.
Tickets are $15 for adults, $8 for students and senior citizens and
