VALDOSTA -- The 香蕉视频官网 Fine Arts Gallery debuted its first gallery exhibition of the year -- Valdosta National 2011 All-Media Juried Competition -- during a reception January 18. The event heralds a series of exhibits this spring that will highlight a variety of artistic expressions, from handcrafted jewelry to culturally reflective paintings.

The current exhibition will be open for viewing until Friday, Feb. 4, during gallery hours: Monday-Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

"Some Kind of Nature"

February 14 - March 4

The public is invited to the opening reception of 鈥淪ome Kind of Nature鈥� from 7-8:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 14, in the gallery, located on the first floor of the Fine Arts Building at the corner of Brookwood Avenue and Oak Street.

Graves, who teaches art at East Tennessee State University, said his artwork of sculpture and video focuses on the cultural attitude and expectations of society in relation to the natural world. The artist makes use of natural materials to represent society鈥檚 dependence and influence on nature.

The exhibit will be open for viewing from Tuesday, Feb. 15, from Friday, March 4, during gallery hours: Monday-Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

All-Media Juried Competition

March 21 - April 8

The 香蕉视频官网 Fine Arts Gallery will host the Art Student All-Media Juried Competition opening reception from 7-8:30 p.m. on Monday, March 21, in the gallery.

The exhibition will be open for viewing from Tuesday, March 22, to Friday, April 8, during gallery hours: Monday-Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Spring Senior Exhibition

April 17 - May 2

The public it invited to the Spring Senior Exhibition opening reception from 1-3 p.m. on Sunday, April 17, in the gallery.

The exhibition will be open for viewing from Monday, April 18, to Monday, May 2, during gallery hours: Monday-Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
