Ï㽶ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø Hosts GISA State Literary Competition March 16-18

VALDOSTA -- Ï㽶ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø will host the Georgia Independent Schools Association’s State Literary competition all day Tuesday through Thursday, March 16-18, in the Fine Arts Building.

For the fifth consecutive year, high school students from around the state will tune their voices and present dynamic oral presentations against the state’s finest in categories such as men’s quartet, women’s trio, solo, extemporaneous speaking, oral interpretation and more. While Ï㽶ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø students are vacationing and visiting their parents back at home during their annual spring break, professors and local professionals will judge the events for GISA classification A, AA and AAA performers.

New to this year's event is an essay category in the speech area.

Each year, Ï㽶ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø provides a special place for GISA to host its annual event, while giving students the opportunity to perform in a college setting and network with potential professors.
