Halloween Walking Contest

VALDOSTA - The Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ¹ÙÍø Walking Club is hosting a contest to challenge Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ¹ÙÍø faculty, staff and students to walk at least 50 miles between October 1 and October 30.

Participants will be invited to a Halloween costume party at the end of the month. At the spooky celebration, walkers who reach the 50-mile mark will draw for one of three prizes: a $100 Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ¹ÙÍø Bookstore gift card, a Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ¹ÙÍø sweatshirt or a Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ¹ÙÍø coffee mug. The best dressed walker at the Halloween costume party will also receive a prize.

Those interested in participating in the contest must join the Walking Club, a free program - sponsored by the Campus Wellness Committee - that facilitates group and solo walking. Participants must log their miles walked on the program’s Web site, .
