Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ¹ÙÍø kicks off Science Seminar Series

Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ¹ÙÍø will kick off its spring 2006 Science Seminar Series on Thursday, January 26, at 4:30 p.m., in the Powell Hall Auditorium.

Dr. Marc Pratarelli, professor of psychology at Colorado State University-Pueblo, will present, "The Biology of Human Consumption & the Ethics of Sustainability." Pratarelli's presentation, hosted by Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ¹ÙÍø's Psychology Department, will explain how understanding the biological motivations that underlie consumption and consumerism can help people successfully adopt sustainable economic policies and practices.

Pratarelli's lecture is the first in a series of weekly science seminars, taking place during Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ¹ÙÍø's centennial year, scheduled each Thursday afternoon through the end of April 2006.
