Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ¹ÙÍø's South Georgia Writing Project (SGWP), a local site of a nationwide network of school/university programs dedicated to improving the teaching of writing across all disciplines in K-college classrooms, names 9 regional educators to its advisory board for the 2005-2006 academic year:

Marty Williams, English, Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ¹ÙÍø

All advisory board members are graduates or current faculty members of Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ¹ÙÍø and will be responsible for nominating educators to participate in the Invitational Summer Institute, attending planning meetings, and promoting excellence in the teaching of writing.
Dr. Sewell, assistant professor in Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ¹ÙÍø's English Department, created the advisory board when she was appointed as the new SGWP director this summer. Sewell replaced outgoing director, Dr. Chere Peguesse, associate professor in English and director of the Writing Center at Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ¹ÙÍø.

The SGWP is affiliated with the National Writing Project, a grant-funded network of over 189 school/university programs dedicated to ensuring quality writing instruction across disciplines and grade levels.
