Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ¹ÙÍø Professor Speaks on Active Hurricane Season

Dr.Brian Bossak, assistant professor in the department of Physics, Astronomy and Geosciences at Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ¹ÙÍø, will deliver a speech on Thursday, September 29, titled "Recent Extremely Active U.S. Hurricane Seasons: Climate Links and Future Implications."

A continuation of the university's Science Seminar Series, the speech will feature storms that have occurred during the active 2004-2005 hurricane seasons, ways to monitor coastal assessments from these storms, and the links to climate features and future projections.

The presentation will be given at 4 p.m. in room BC3009 of the Biology/Chemistry Building at the Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ¹ÙÍø campus and is free and open to the public. For more information about the speech, please contact Dr.Brian Bossak at hbossak@valdosta.edu.
