Ï㽶ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø played host to martial arts team
The martial arts team from Yangzhou (pronounced young-jhoe)
University performed two exhibitions at Ï㽶ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø
on Nov. 6.
According to Mark Baird, assistant director of International
Programs, Yangzhou University is known for it marital arts program
and this group represented some of their best practitioners.
Yangzhou University, located in the People's Republic of China,
signed a formal agreement with Ï㽶ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø in 1999, which provides for a
mutual exchange of professors, students and educational programs
through 2001.
The program was sponsored by the Office of International Programs
and the Department of Kinesiology and Physical Education.
